#1: car keys stolen Author: Diablo, Location: CoventryPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 2:23 am ---- Ok basically last night my car keys were stolen from the house. The car wasn't taken or touched and I still have the spare key so can still drive it but I need to get the locks changed because I don't want them to come back for it in the future.
I've already called my car insurance and they say they won't cover it because the car hasn't been stolen and the home insurance would have a massive excess on it. So can anybody tell me how much it is likely to cost change all the locks and recode the car so the old fob won't open it?

#3: Re: car keys stolen Author: Diablo, Location: CoventryPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 2:34 am ---- they open at 9am but yeah will give them a call. will probably be stupidly expensive though

Arm & a leg.
Or don't change the locks & instead see if you can convince the old bill to camera up the car. What a brilliant opportunity to catch the thieving scum red handed.
#5: Re: car keys stolen Author: LilLew, Location: PlymouthPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 2:58 am ---- why dont you change the ecu and get a matching key and lock set from the scrapies
