Water in passenger Footwell.

Well Im not sure if this is related, but recently i have posted that i have no heating since i drained my system and put antifreeze in...

And i was told it was most likely to be the heater matrix. Now before i go ripping out the dashboard... are these likely to be connected..

I need to get this sorted not because of the heat(or lack of it) But because i believe the water may be emptying from my expensionbottle and through the matrix and leaking... So the engine has no water..

Do a quick check on the doors before you rip out the matrix. Get a watering can full of water, open the door where the foot well gets wet and pour water on the outside rubber window seal and look for water coming out from behind the door card at the bottom. If it does the membrane behind the door card has become detached or is broken. Won't help with the heater but might explain the water in the foot well. Did the procedure on mine today see my post today "Electrical issues and damp carpets"

Before you change it do this:there are two disconnects. just where the heater matrix located.and two O rings seal them.(inlet and outlet pipe)i think o rings are worn out and water is leaking from there.remove the black flexible cover which fixed by three screws on disconnect to confirm leakage.i had this problem replaced the o rings and it is fine.if u confirmed and decided to do that just inform me i'll tell you the details .

Hello everyone, I need to change O ring on heater matrix for Peugeot 206 1.6 auto 2004 petrol.
what I need to know is that, after draining the coolant, do I need to disconnect pipes & screws from the engine compartment, also do I need to loosen screws on the matrix? Can I just disconnect the joint to replace the O rings.
I would be very grateful for any guidance, I know about removing glove box etc.
Kind regards Navin.
