#1: B47t0n's Stage 2 Fmic Hdi Author: b47t0n, Location: sheffield PostPosted: Sun Feb 07, 2010 1:07 pm
    ----
Hi well i bought my 2nd car in july for my 18th birthday its a silver 206 2.0l hdi lx y reg 2001,just bog stranded no mods or anything special

so heres how i got it

I retreved my old wheels off my previous car

just some 15" ripseed alloys

then masked my font head lights as it was a nice cheap friendly mod

then came along :

the clear fog and break light french style plates and back box. and debadge it

i won a carbon effect bonnet vent on fleabay easly fitted

next was a small touch a splitter from scrap yard and sunstrip

here i painted my pug badge black very pleased Very Happy

about two weeks later i wont a gti rear bumper of fleabay

(slightly different colour )

scraped the 15" alloys and bought some 16" nimmys Very Happy

just a pic off when i got the front light transfer

I then saw the D-turbo interior for sale on here which i bought immaculate condition door cards front/rear, front / rear seats and glove box lid. thanks to matt-mpg

also as you can see ive added small additions such as gti door handles
gti vents sliders , gti hand break, and the gti carbon handle surrounds oh and a 206 cc gear knob

heres some buckets i bought

fitted these last month very pleased

i bought some lockwood white dilas,sp pedals and a gti wheel Very Happy

made a real improvement on the inside as before it had the horrid blue felt sort off interior

heres my dials with white LED's

and last but not least

i got my windows tinted for crimbo and also received my phase 2 boot strip , and also failed to glue my spoiler Sad

then again i won i front 206 gti bumper

well today because i finished work at 1 so i got my a**e in gear and mounted my intercooler

first of all i chopped out the fan and what ever else i needed to

then i made the brackets to mount the intercooler on

i just used to L brackets

and bolted them together with a mate nut and bolt

then i mounter the brackets to the car again with mate nut and bolts

then bolted the intercooler to the brackets

mounted Very Happy

gap on the right for the 90 degree pipe to go

loads of space

bumper on

i know intercooler looks as its to the right but thats to allow for the pipes on the left to fit (this can be tweaked )

jobs done all in 2hours work Very Happy

let me know what you think

all complete

thank you very much

the rear is 70mm and im sure he set the front coilovers to the same height

the decatt is a bolt on bolt off made by exhaust uk

or you could d.i.y it which u just cut the cat off and weld a straight pipe up to it

so yeah it will fit any 206 2.0l hdi Very Happy

one thing i forgot to ask... the towing rope thingy, when it's being pulled, does it put any pressure on the back bumper (ie, is it touching the bumper) because when it gets towed by a truck, the height of the rinch may put too much pressure on the buper and crack/break it.

if you get what i mean. lol

done this a couple of times just heat them up gently with a hairdryer then pick at the corner and peel off gently if they are quite new or you are lucky they will peel straight off then just give it a quick polish if they have gone quite hard they may leave the sticky residue just rub at it dry and keep at it will all come off then a quick polish looks a million times better too Smile

hi sorry not been online for ages

firstly i was remapping the car when my laptop went dead which just my luck it happened during the map eraser process i was then left with a useless 206 Sad

£150 later i got a ecu technician to come out who un-soldered the chip from the ecu and replaced it

hurray i was up and running again

so i got enough guts to try the remapp again with my galletto i uploaded the maximum full power stage 2 mr whippy map and the car was cutting out when accelerating hard and hitting 3-4K revs.

because dave (mr whippy) aims for 80% more power over the original the problem causing the cutting out was worn parts which show up with high power maps

so i began changing parts to eliminate the problem

so upto now i have replaced the following parts

fuel rail sensor
maf sensor
cleaned fuel regulator
new fuel filter

after replacing all these parts the fault continued Sad

i then found a 110bhp 406 at the scrap yard and got the injectors out of it

so £60 later with the new injectors fitted the car works fine Very Happy

it came at bit of a shock when i removed the old injectors 3 of them was covered in some gunky type paste/dirt

and the 4th was covered in some sort of dry sutt powder (some sort of carbon)

the car now feels alot more responsive and no longer cutts out Very Happy so all been well the the engine problems have been solved

at last

i have also actually found some nice gloss black morettes which are waiting to be fitted Very Happy

for the morrettes ive ordered some

h7 and h1 rainbow bulbs (all weather bulbs)

and some rainbow indicator bulbs to remove that horrible orange glow (errrrr)

not a very good picture but i got my side strips cc
