Have you taken it for a decent drive so it has time to read the sensor?
Mines in today having a rear sensor 3rd ABS fault in 2 years
#4: Re: MORE & MORE & MORE problems Author: LilLew, Location: PlymouthPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 5:43 am ---- yep i have driven it for around a week hoping it would fix itself and i have done the BSI reset still to no luck

Sounds like you may need a trip to pug then, very strange that there is no fault showing.
#6: Re: MORE & MORE & MORE problems Author: panason1c, Location: SomersetPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 5:46 am ---- Might be something as simple as the ABS main fuse gone?

Would that not flag a fault on the ECU?
#8: Re: MORE & MORE & MORE problems Author: LilLew, Location: PlymouthPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 5:58 am ---- personally from my experince abs does not show up but i would of thought the ESP and ASR would of unless the abs and ESP / ASR are linked in some way

They are linked, they both run off the ABS rings and sensors.
#10: Re: MORE & MORE & MORE problems Author: qwert, Location: ukPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 6:04 am ---- What are you using to scan the codes? Cheap affordable code readers will only scan emission based codes, not ABS.
#11: Re: MORE & MORE & MORE problems Author: LilLew, Location: PlymouthPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 6:09 am ---- i am using my dads laptop and diag software from the garage

It would help with the full story.......... ie..did the abs work BEFORE the new radius arm and sensor was fitted?, and if it did, why hasnt the garage that fitted the new radius arm and sensor sorted the problem?
#13: Re: MORE & MORE & MORE problems Author: LilLew, Location: PlymouthPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 7:06 am ---- yes i had no faults before and after i got it back from the garage then about 3days later they started playing up
#14: Re: MORE & MORE & MORE problems Author: panason1c, Location: SomersetPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 7:25 am ---- In that case i'd be looking again at the new sensor that was fitted..........check it is in its correct position and the 'gap' between the sensor and ring is correct, if the sensor is fitted too far from the ring it will not 'pickup' and disable the abs system along with esp and asr as they are all linked and work in conjunction with one another (compare the gap with that of the sensor on the other wheel)
#15: Re: MORE & MORE & MORE problems Author: LilLew, Location: PlymouthPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 7:55 am ---- ill have another look when i get back home and ill double check all of the rings as well
#16: Re: MORE & MORE & MORE problems Author: LilLew, Location: PlymouthPosted: Fri Dec 17, 2010 6:31 pm ---- ok guys i have had another look today and i cant find any cracks in the abs rings and all the sensor gaps are teh same i done it is the snow today lol
