my heaters have stopped working on speed 1 2 3, but work on 4. anyone know why this may be?

i knew someone who had the same problem and what had happened was that the cable which is behind the unit was a bit slack and only worked when he moved it to speed 3 and 4

if im right he went to a scrapyard and got a new heater control unit for like a fiver and changed that and it worked perfectly fine

if start by removing your centre console and checking the unit itself to make sure nothing has come loose

all the best with it

i cant think what its called at the min but there will be a electrical thingy that controls the amount of power that goes to the motor normally you'll find it fitted in the heater matrix box its only an inch or so square and is normall easy to replace

Reostat sp? I think its called, a wee resistor type thing very commin thing to go on cars heaters
