#1: Cigarette Lighter Author: MrrNoName, Location: UKPosted: Mon Dec 20, 2010 2:47 pm ---- Hey all, ive read under the maintenance section here that you can change the cigarette ligher to ignition live instead of constant live by swapping a fuse. has anybody tried this. i have a Y reg (2001) 1.4 petrol LX
it would be REALLY handy for me if this worked!

What if your car died and you need to use a car charger for your phone and your stranded inthe middle of nowhere? Surely this would then be a downside?

You can just move the fuse back, if the ignition wouldn't come on, or take the wires out of the charger and put them on the battery.
