Hey all, ive read under the maintenance section here that you can change the cigarette ligher to ignition live instead of constant live by swapping a fuse. has anybody tried this. i have a Y reg (2001) 1.4 petrol LX

it would be REALLY handy for me if this worked!

So instead of the cigarette lighter having constant power, it only works when the ignition is on

whats the benefit in this other than saving a small amount of power? What if your car died and you need to use a car charger for your phone and your stranded inthe middle of nowhere? Surely this would then be a downside? Laughing

If you leave things plugged in, they will turn off with the ignition rather than drain the battery Razz

You can just move the fuse back, if the ignition wouldn't come on, or take the wires out of the charger and put them on the battery.

Infact, i dunno even why I'm answering this because I know your taking the p**s Laughing

So go away DJ Razz
