#1: Limited Revs... Author: DanWBangor91, Location: Bangor, GwyneddPosted: Mon Jan 03, 2011 4:39 pm ---- Right, I searched the site for the answer to this problem but I found nothing.
The other day, just a couple of times, when I turned he engine off and pulled the key out the engine stayed on for a couple of seconds before it went off.
The same day, whilst accelerating up a hill in 2nd gear, the engine just stopped accelerating at around 2,300revs and just wouldn't go any higher.
So I stopped at the side of the road, turned the engine off and back on, and tried again in neutral. Still the same problem.
It was okay after a couple of minutes of leaving it off though.
So does anyone know what the problem is or had similar problems? Thanks.
By the way: my car is a 2001 2.0HDI

Yeah it just happened one day and never again. It wasn't even a freezing day.

Can you put your foot flat and accelerate as normal or does it feel down on power? It could be a posibility that the inlet valve is sticking. Its work checking anyway its only a 5 min job.
