#1: Interchangable seats? Author: chunkielad, Location: LeighPosted: Sat Jan 08, 2011 9:45 am ---- The front seats in the GTi look like theye are identical. Is it possible to get a passenger seat (hence no bolster damage) and just straight swap for drivers seat?

only exception is you can't put a 5 door front seat in a 3dr model or you will fail MOT
but i don't think you can swap the passenger and driver seat :s

i though the socket was on the rail, not on the seat?

The OP's car hasnt got seat airbags fitted

This is the case indeed and I thought the seat belt was on the rail too.
I just thought (as I do randomly from time to time) that a passenger wouldn't have as much wear and I could get one off a similar age car and swap out.
