the clock display thing keeps on going off and on whenever it feels like it. i think i need to pull it out and check the plugs and wires, but i was just wondering if anyone knew how to sorted it before i go fiddling around.

Mine does this.. but with mine it's only the far right hand bulb. Basically, (what mine is) the bulbs are loose. So, if I push my display gently, they come on for a second... not dodgy wiring or dodgy bulb. To rectify, pull off the binicle, and you will see 2X torx screws, undo them, job's a goodun.
Might be different for yours though.
