#1: Dashboard display Author: abs06, Location: East Sussex PostPosted: Fri Jan 14, 2011 3:16 am

Hi everyone

Sorry if this has already been posted. Yesterday my dashboard display went off. I can make out the display but its very faint and u have to go up close. I think it may be the light.

My questions are:

1. Can i replace jus the bulbs or do i need a new unit?

2. How do i get to the unit to get it out?

Any help would be good.

Sorry if this has been posted before. Did do a quick search but didnt see any similar.

My car is a multiplex and the display is the bigger of the 3.

Thank you

It will be a case of changing the bulbs.

Follow the first part of this guide about pulling off the hazzard surround.
206info.co.uk/Forums/v...=3072.html

Then there are 2 or 4 torx screws holding it in place.

If you can still see the display, you sure you haven't turned the brightness down by accident?

If you're taking it off anyway, it might be worth just pushing the bulbs around a bit. Mine were loose causing a bad connection, meaning it was really dark. No need to buy new bulbs if thats the case Smile

I though i had turned the lights on dash down. But the rest of dash is like a christmas tree. I think it is bulb because when i got my car, one corner was dim.
