Cheers for the comments guys.

Update time again Smile

Well today I got the trims in the first coat of gloss black.

I then sprayed a second coat;

Once that was done I then got on with get them in another coat of gloss white and just layered up till I was happy with the coats.

I also got the centre console back up in gloss black.

Nice to see people enjoy reading it just as much as I have working on it.

I've got the gloss black parts up in Laquer now...got a few more coats to go to get it as shiny as possible Smile

I'm also going to try and get the roof lining or at least the a-pillar covers trimmed up tomorrow/saturday.

Looking good Uz! Makes me think I should do mine. Didn't you do Moonstone originally? Wink

Cheer Geoff. I did originally plan on doing the centre console in Moonstone but I thought against it as I wanted my interior to stay pretty descreet. I would have done all the bits in Moonstone if I didn't have a can of Gloss Black at home.

Cheers Kenco didn't see your post when I replied on Thursday Smile

The 205 GTi wheels I had for the XSi done over this week in gloss white and picked them up yesterday. Got 4 matching Bridgestone Turanza 195/50 R15 tyres and got them swapped over with the RS wheels.

RS wheels will be going on this for the time being so I'm going to get them refurbed but am still deciding on what colour to have them powdercoated. I'm going to be also getting custom centre caps done to match the SWGT badges I've got.

They will be in a gel bubble with a background to match colour of the wheels, moonstone blue pug lion with a silver SW and red GT going through the middle.

I'm also hopefully picking up some 20mm hubcentric spacers off Jamie when I drop the wheels off so the wheels will be sitting at a whoppin ET10 Surprised POKE FTW Very Happy

Any ideas on what colour I should have them done?

It's been a week since I last updated this so here goes.

Bought some a pair of 20mm spacers off Jamie (still owe him a fiver for them). Got home and got them on but when I put the RS wheels on and tightened up the bolts the wheels were still loose and i could shake them about. Luckily I had a set of 5mm shims sitting around so I popped those on and job was a good'un Smile I know it's probably not safe...someone please let me know if it is or isn't as the wheels still sitting on the hubcentric spigot.

20mm spacer + 5mm shims

Anyway I had intended on the wheels sitting at ET10 once these spacers went on but are now sitting at ET5 Surprised

I popped the spacers on down one side so I could get an idea and compare them to the other without any spacers. Massive difference.

Passenger side with spacers fitted

Drivers side without spacers fitted

Also I measured up the height with the 17" fitted and I got readings on the back of 38cm between the bottom of the arch to the centre of the hub. I plan on dropping it down to about 28cm to get a decent sitting on it so that'll be about 100mm Surprised On the front I got reading again bottom of the wing to the centre of the hub of 40cm. I plan of dropping it to about 30cm again 100mm drop Surprised

I think I need some bigger brakes in the front so might seeing how things go pop my 4pot on here just so the brakes don't look swamped in the wheels lol.

Mate, what excellent news, and what excellent pics. I know you've been waiting for a while for loan. Looks the nuts with the GT bumper. You may have already answered this, but what are your plans with the colour? Because as far as I can see, you've got different parts of the car in different colours!!

I'm over the moon with the loan coming through now Smile

With regards to the colour once I get the car into the bodyshop the chap will be respraying the whole front end of the car including front two doors. He will also be colour coding all the side strips. I did want to have a gloss black roof on the car but it's going to cost too much money. Even though I've had my loan come through I still wanna sort of keep to a budget. So I'm just keeping things simple. Also he will be doing the roof bars, bumper grille, mirrors (not the caps) and also the gutter strips in gloss black and also the rear peugeot badge.

I'm also having all the interior bits that I was spraying up done by him so I can have everything perfect.

Does anyone have any ideas for the car? Still look at idea of colours for the wheels. Stuck between gloss white, gloss black, anthracite or gunmetal grey.
