Im still offering my services if you want your car done before FCS
I reckon we could easily get all three items done in one day (but cars never go right as we know!)
#469: Re: Jamie's Blue GTi180 - Update 06.05.14 Author: JamieM, Posted: Thu Jun 12, 2014 4:03 am ---- Cheers for the comments guys, probably changing my headlamps back soon for a change again. Why not... lol
Addaz I really need to pull my finger out next month and try to get my car in with you. Just need to work out what I need etc now as I may get a service done with you as well. My car needs an oil change now it's not been done for a while! I know the oil is black now which isn't like me and the filter is leaking oil. I was going to do it myself that part but I've just not had the time recently. I will get in contact with you and plan it soon. Got a few shows to get out of the way - capital fm summer ball & eminem and a birthday but as soon as that's out of the way I'll sort it with you. Might order grp a wishbones from pugsport online depending on funds.
----
Anyways! I bought this the other day,
I may try to fit my Simota CAIS instead of the open cone, just don't want to restrict airflow as the bottom of the filter only has the small hole, possibly an option to remove the lid and have just the side of the cone protected but we will see if not... it will be for sale and I'll get a larger green filter or ITG alternative.
Depending on the condition of the pipe I may get it painted red or something as it isn't brand new.

Got it fitted last night. Looks good imo, I was going to have it sprayed red but I don't mind it being blue, same colour as the car.
Car feels more responsive on throttle over my Simota but I'll never really know unless I had back to back RR's. Either way the car sounds pretty loud on load now, I mean before it was quite raw but now it sounds like VTEC yooooo - this satisfy's the chav in me lol!
Anyway, I'm rather impressed and happy with it
I'm still planning a larger green cone or ITG to replace the K&N and also going to get a custom samco/sfs silicone hose to the throttle body.
Proper pics on the weekend after a clean with the SLR :).

Can't help but think standard crystals would work better with the wheels tbh.

#478: Re: Jamie's Blue GTi180 - Update 14.06.14 Typhoon SLR pics Author: JamieM, Posted: Mon Jun 16, 2014 4:55 am ---- Cheers Matty I'll order that ASAP won't drive it in the rain otherwise luckily it stopped raining the other day and didn't appear to be any big puddles!
@Lecktorious
Cheers fella, the wheels were from an online shop but they were straight from Speedline to me.
I get what you are saying about the lights but the way I see it is, now days manufacturers sell cars with black inserts. E.g Clio's and many rock white wheels and I don't think they look that bad. I think it's because they are OEM & just look standard unless you know what you're looking at, joe bloggs in the street probably wouldn't even notice they only come with crystals. Anyways at some point soon my morettes are going to be re-surfacing as I miss the aggressive look and want those on for the summer
e.g - This Clio guy

So far my car has been ok with the Typhoon not noticed any major heat problems as yet but we will see if not I guess I'll have to have it coated in a HT spray - not in to wrap - but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, got bigger fish to fry atm haha!
Does sound pretty epic on load my friend loves it lol!
