s***ty iphone pictures as the SLR isn't with me at the moment but...

It's back... I removed the SP arches and I kinda like it without them and think it might look smoother when actually low...

I now need to find someone next month to finish the job matey boy can no longer do due to 'noise complaint'. I've heard through the grapevine though he's said, it's down to my wheels being the incorrect fitment. They are ford wheels on spacers.

What has annoyed me is, the spacer was still connected to the hub and had a tiny crack and dent due to the alloy coming off the car and landing on it. Surely if it was the spacer was the cause the spacer would be completely compromised and not on still the hub? (even after the one nut that was in was sheered out...?) the spacer remained jammed on. I can't see how he can blame a tiny crack and dent which wasn't there before on the three missing wheel nuts, my wheel coming off and doing damage.

And when I say it wasn't there I mean it, there is no way in hell the way I am I'd miss something like that.

Anyway so looks like come next pay day, new tyres all around, someone to adjust my torsion bar, fit the gearbox mount and decat and then buy some new spacers all around, and no real big journeys until that.

The paint work is mint, thanks to my mate who is a top sprayer imo. He's coming over later to give it a flat and polish due to not having time at his work shop and paint is too soft atm. Naturally until it hardens I'll leave the car on the drive to avoid chipping, and once it's polished a few layers of SN Hybrid will be applied to keep it well protected!

Few steps backwards to go forwards I guess.

And a quick reminder on what it should look like within the next two months including the brembos. I may keep the SP arches off as I only keep them on to protect my arches...

Looks good, glad i took my sp arches off they make it look cluttered and like i needed wider wheels imo. I always liked them originally but once i fitted them soon fell out of love with them.

He left your wheel loose, thats all mate.

If you need anyone to do anywork, im a bit far but I've got two people coming from essex for their rear axle to be adjusted. So its up to you, but just let me know!

Thanks dude, Hmm I only usually have them on to stop my arches chipping but I prefer the look without tbh, like Dan said, if they were not clip on and were smoothed in and I got bigger spacers at least I'd rock them because they would sit flush,

I love the curves on the body, particularly the front wing the way it wraps around the wheels lol

Thanks mate, yeah I prefer it without but I'll run them at points especially if it snows or something haha just to protect my arches Smile

That's what I thought mate,

And thanks I'll bare it in mind, how much would you want to adjust the torsion? You're quite far but I'd be willing to travel for the right person to work on her, won't be until I've got new spacers and a full tyre set though as atm my car is un driveable, imo as my pictures will show.

The guy who done my car as far as I'm concerned by lying and bitching has burned bridges with me now.

So firstly,

The state my car was given back to me after the mistake which was blaimed on my wheel set up...

I also will need to refurb that wheel as inside where it came off the spacer and clunked it its mullered the paint on the inside of the rim...

Buffer trails... not from me...

Trails gone;

It just needs refining now for some very light swirls.

As the car is no longer in use, I decided last night to give the engine bay a quick spruse up. It's not 100% but it's good for now. Tomorrow I will revisit it and get some of the muck out near the front screen.

Looking really nice as always mate, I know what you mean by the lines looking cleaner without the sp arches, mine when I bought it didn't have the arches fitted and they do look nice without, damn it, think i'm going to have to remove mine and see what mine's like haha

That sucks about the wheel mate, know these aren't cheap to replace etc, might be me but has it damaged the tyre as well? Looks like a few gashes on the edge of the tread

Thanks mate haha it's going to be cleaned in about an hr again haha.

They will suit the black better imo, the rubber seal looks out of place on the blue, but should be alright against the black Smile

Tyre is shredded dude lol

Spacer is dented and cracked from the landing. I have a spare wheel that came with but it looks atm to just be paint, don't fancy getting the other refurbed.

Just p**sed off atm really.

I totally agree mate, if it was my car i'd be just as p**sed as you are, mind you i was p**sed off the other morning on the way to work when a small stone hit the windscreen and left a tiny mark, i'm more attention to details and marks etc on my 180 then i was on my 137, even my bonnet on the drivers side where it meets the headlights doesn't sit flush with the wing and is fairly tight against the morettes is doing my head in, good job it needs a full respray lol

Stone chips upset me, one of the only things I know I can't help without looking like a f***y and buying a bra haha

A full respray? paint correction not an option dude?

I wish mine weren't creeping up the miles, almost on 61k, I think though if the engine ever dies or anything a 1.6 will replace it from A VTS, get unlocked management from an XSI or something if possible and wack some bodies on.

Hmmm haha. That way car stays alive. Or just get the engine rebuilt at 100+ or something... I'd prefer something easier to gain for $££$ though!

My bonnet is full of stone chips but i've just sold my bonnet bra due to the morettes so will get it resprayed, my car is full of scratches and tiny dings and I'd love to get her fully resprayed but can't afford it tbh, the bonnet is pretty reasonable to get done so that's the first job!

Your lucky mate, mine's on 74480k at the mo, think if mine got to 100k i'd probably sell and get something which won't fall apart or be unreliable past the 100k like an audi etc or buy another 180 on extremely low milage

Thanks guys,

Matty, you'll want another bra the moment you have it resprayed haha!

The engines can easily do 100k that's one thing I will say IIRC my old one had a cambelt slip recently so probably dead now but that was on something like 150k.

The thing that ruins the 180 above all is the management system imo and why you don't see many itbd lumps. It was always tricky before. Hence that other Jamie lad gave up on his ITB conversion. Although since then I think the games possibly moved on. I've heard you can piggy back the stock management and keep features although haven't done too much research, I'd like to think I'll cam my one, one day.

Today I had a parcel

They look better in the picture, they need some repair work but as Ian said it's pretty minor.

Maybe, maybe I might give them ago myself this weekend if I can be arsed, if not my sprayer will get them haha.

Here's the b***h on the drive

Last night had the tracking done, by the guy things are cool now. I've got over it. Just need to wait til pay day before I work out if I fancy a trip to see Addaz to drop her on her ass.

Before that though, I'm looking at 4 new tyres, Either Eagle F1 asymmetric 2 OR Parada's atm. Oh and I may be buying 4 pots too. Depends how I feel abit it all haha. Just looking in to buying some paint atm for my bay and induction kit piping but I'll keep it quiet, in case I end up at a show and see my cars double somewhere lol.
