#3: Re: Steering wheel vibrating Author: elcamino, Location: home!Posted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 5:33 am ---- Its just when i press the pedal.there's no vibration.at any speed..
#4: Re: Steering wheel vibrating Author: spud_owen, Location: ashby de la zouchPosted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 5:34 am ---- warped disc then, new discs are needed
#5: Re: Steering wheel vibrating Author: elcamino, Location: home!Posted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 5:38 am ---- Ok.thanks.but ive recently replaced them .anybody knows what causes this?
#6: Re: Steering wheel vibrating Author: wardie_206, Location: Rayleigh, essexPosted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 5:54 am ---- Probably not " breaking them in properly " mate.
When u put new discs on u need to be as gentle as possible with them to wear them in. Pressing the breaks hard when they r new will cause them to warp mate.

Get up to 50 then down to 10
Get up to 60 then down to 10
Get up to 70 then down to 10
Repeat that a couple of times and then go for a bit of a drive where you won't have to stop so it gives the brakes chance to cool. Don't stop and keep your foot on the pedal mind.
Ignore anyone that says drive carefully and don't use them too much for the first 200 miles etc.
Thats a general rule of thumb, different brakes required different methods. The Brakes on my LCR for example tell me to change them, then go out on the track and use "normally".
when i got new pads and discs on i followed this method and it bedded them in perfectly (no vibration and really sharp breaking now)
the trick is to bed them in in a controlled fashion to ensure an even transfer. just randomly using them when new can cause problems like you have
EDIT: not sure its a good idea to change the discs and not the pads as the pads are worn in to the old discs?

#11: Re: Steering wheel vibrating Author: DJ-, Location: UKPosted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 6:41 am ---- i would get them both changed together personally. Why do 1 and not the other when they work together. Ferado pads with brembo disc's
