handdbrake light...again

Recently posted about my handbrake light flickering all the time, appeared to just be brake fluid however its just started doing it again and I only filled it up a few weeks back?

check it isnt low.... if it is then you have a leak

youve probly got a leaky rear brake cylinder, or a leaking brake pipe, best get it checked out.

yeah usaully happens when brake fluid really is low ,better check for leaks or take it to a garage

could be anything else if it isnt the brake fluid. Handbrake switch or even low brake pads I believe for that matter.

on the 306 haynes, it says it could be the battery is not getting enough charge, belts to loose, alt is shagged. i left it on 306 for a couple months, then scrapped the b***h lol

haha, i only had a leaking cylinder replaced a few month back, i'm sick now...think she's gunna have to go the journery soon =(

Just the 1 replacement cylinder?

Its always a good idea to do them in pairs, if ones leaking the other wont be far behind Wink

if it is pads, you might aswell get the discs done too whilst its all apart.
i paid 45 for fitting of both + parts(around45-50)

Id be tempted to swop the handbrake switch for the glovebox one as there has been no mention of the STOP light coming on as well.
