#1: Clock Mileage Author: almir92, Location: EssexPosted: Thu Jan 27, 2011 11:53 am ---- as i posted before my speedo was playing up took it to a garage and they tried changing the speed sensor which didnt solve the problem then i left the car with them for them to fix, just got the car back and they swapped the clock this one now reads 145k -.- my original mileage was 78k is the any way to fix this? or am i screwed

There are plenty of people in the trade advertising this in magazine & on the net.
I posted in your previous thread that BBA would correct the mileage if you have proof ( mot certificate )

Doesn't work like that on a NON plexed 206
NON plexed will display whatever is in the instrument cluster memory you fit.
There is no anti clocking protection on a NON plexed 206

i didn't do it, i left the car with them they said give us couple hours to get to it fixed and when i came back the damage was done, how much does that place charge for mileage correction? i got the old mot if that helps
are you saying no matter what clock i get the mileage will always change? be it higher or lower ?
Whatever mileage is stored in the instrument cluster memory, that's what that cluster will display no matter what non plexed 206 you plug it in to.
Didnt you ask BBA for a quote to repair your original speedo?
no because for this repair i paid nothing it was all done by the guy i bought the car from, he has his own mechanic and he did it
