I will get about 80 to 100 proper eco driving (change at 2k) on £15, so it could be the way you drive
Don't forget you drive a shed with 4 downpipes stuck to the bottom

Also you drive a underpowered sewing machine, which you have to floor to go anywhere at a decent pace.

#21: Re: 206 drinking petrol and it only a 1.1 plz help Author: Abzynthe, Posted: Thu Jan 27, 2011 3:58 pm ---- 1.1s drink fuel anyway, they can barely move the car as it is
#22: Re: 206 drinking petrol and it only a 1.1 plz help Author: SDK206, Location: Earth, most of the time!!Posted: Thu Jan 27, 2011 4:18 pm ---- yes oxygen sensors do affect fuelling as yours has two, upstream and downstream it has whats called a closed loop system where by the ECU computes the readings and tries to adjust accordingly but if one goes down it will run "safe tables" to prevent much damage from overfuelling IE melting the CAT.
i would have checked by peugeot, generic codes are useful but not always accurate, theirs will be more accurate
hopefully whoever fitted the CAT didnt use exhaust paste upstream, seen that block them before
but as suggested already petrol is expensive, you can calculate MPG on torquecars.co.uk, all you need to know are miles covered, litres of fuel used and cost per litre and see what it says!!
#23: Re: 206 drinking petrol and it only a 1.1 plz help Author: Matt, Posted: Thu Jan 27, 2011 4:36 pm ---- £30 for 120 miles isnt bad really
1.1s are notorious for being greedy
my 1.4 does 100 for £20
also dont forget, £30 now isnt the same as £30 a year ago. petrol prices have gone up alot so your not getting as many litres for your money.

#27: Re: 206 drinking petrol and it only a 1.1 plz help Author: L18LTM, Location: ScunthorpePosted: Thu Jan 27, 2011 5:46 pm ---- Is the car making a '' popping noise '', can you smell petrol out the exhaust really bad ?, how hot is your car runnning ? if your temp is low, the ecu injects more fule in ?, my mates golf had his temp gauge behind his intercooler, basically blowing ice cold air onto the sensor and injecting fule wich wasn't needed, running to rich =\ im sure somone on here will contradict me ( as per usual ), but give it ago, happened on my old pug (: faulty thermostat
#28: Re: 206 drinking petrol and it only a 1.1 plz help Author: SDK206, Location: Earth, most of the time!!Posted: Thu Jan 27, 2011 5:55 pm ---- no contradiction needed, if the stat is stuck open it will run rich big time and use far more fuel than normal
