But i'm not doing anything to the car for the time being, not until the car is fixed and not got a squealing belt and a whine!!!! then i might treat it to some nicely refurbed wheels

Yes and no, this might effect the finish of the paint due to the chemicals of the paint stripper

I've had a few idea of what it could be, it sounds like it's coming from the engine lets hope it's not expensive!
