Was wondering if these are a good combination together?
as my car will be having Gti calipers fitted but want a good decent brake set to go with it.

make sure you got the correct fittment as there is 2 tyres of fittment for gti brake

The gti Brakes i have are same as the ones on a 2.0 hdi or d-turbo. if that matters

^^^^^^ I made that fault when i got mine they was 2 types of pads and 2 different gti calipers

Yep, discs & pads are different on both versions. Different offset on the discs & pads are shaped differently

which year?

99 to 01 most likely is still using the 266x20.5 disc

02 or newer will use the 266x22 disc

then most likely you need the 266x22 disc, not the one in your link

The reason I ask is I have a horrible grinding noise when I brake. Only happens for first half mile then goes. Sounds like coming from the back, and the handbrake is 10 clicks, which makes it sound like brake adjustment or worn shoes. Don't fancy stripping only to find I have to rebuild to go get some new shoes to come back and fit them. Might as well have them ready.
