#1: GTI re-mapping Author: MutilateTheDead, Location: DerbyPosted: Tue Feb 08, 2011 3:31 am ---- How much would i need to spend on a decent re-map and how much more BHP would i get out of a standard 206 gti 137? Do you guys think it'll be worth it?
#2: Re: GTI re-mapping Author: Jay794, Location: Sheffield/Chesterfield/DronfieldPosted: Tue Feb 08, 2011 3:37 am ---- anywhere from £300 to £450, thats usually the going rate for a decent remap but you'll only get it to about 140 142bhp with just a remap

If that, as it is a 10 year old car now. It will unlikely still be putting out 137BHP.
#4: Re: GTI re-mapping Author: MutilateTheDead, Location: DerbyPosted: Tue Feb 08, 2011 3:47 am ---- ^^ True, not really worth it then, any other suggestions for performance, got £400-£500 to spend
#5: Re: GTI re-mapping Author: CD-B3, Location: Salisbury / New ForestPosted: Tue Feb 08, 2011 3:49 am ---- Get a good service, maybe a K&N pannel airfilter & stainless steel exhaust.
#6: Re: GTI re-mapping Author: Seabook, Posted: Tue Feb 08, 2011 3:49 am ---- you can't get any performance improvement without a remap to finish off.....

i think the service part of this, was to try regain some of the power lost due to age

#12: Re: GTI re-mapping Author: CD-B3, Location: Salisbury / New ForestPosted: Tue Feb 08, 2011 4:18 am ---- Cams will require a remap to run properly.
