Headlight Trouble..

Basically tried to fit my new headlights (crystals) and new bumper today and plugged one in to test it and it worked fine then took it back off again to sort the bumper out.

10 minutes later I fitted both and only the sidelights and indicators work and also the main beam works aswell.

Could it be fuses? If so how do I check this?

If the connector is fine and the bulbs are secure, then it will be the fuses in the drivers fuse box

Might sound a bit stupid but how do i check the fuses? and which one would it be? cheers

if they are a clear plastic take them out and look through the side of them if they are not see thorugh plastic there will be a metal wire going across the top an if its broken thats the fuse which has gone

Fuse 30 and 32. Check that the wire/filament is in tact.

So just how basic a level of "electronics" do they start teaching in the module: how do I know if a piece of wire in a fuse holder will conduct electricity, how do I know if there are volts available at a point such as a socket that connects to a lamp?

Sounds to me like it's just as well you have a diesel, a lot fewer arcs and sparks involved Rolling On The Floor Laughing
