if the ecu is up the swanny, and needs to be replaced.
what other parts need to be replaced with it?

to my understanding i would need
1. ecu
2. transponder ring
3. transponder from the key
4. BSI unit

OR

Send your original ecu away for test / repair.

I have the ecu, bsi and transponder ring (but not the key) that I'm selling for far less than that. Is the transponder ring useless without the one from the key?

Transponder aerial / ring are NOT coded on the 206.

The only time you need to change one is when it stops working Laughing

so harry in awnser to your question its useless with out the tranponda chip from the key as thats coded to the ecu \ bsi your best bet is to just sell the ecu for recodeing. witch i dont think i can be assed to go down that route id rather just stick a new load of bits in and have spares Smile

I see, yeah I guess. I may just bundle it onto it ebay and persume the buyer knows what he's doing with it

Just a quick thought

if i change the ecu , bsi and put the transponder in my current key so i dont have to change the locks,
will the central locking still work from the key?
and will the alarm, imobilisa still work?

i would i need to change all the locks and keys to match the ecu \ get them all recoded?

Harry, tell me the VIN number of the car and I'll get you the immobilser code, then the buyer would just have to get a new key and get the keys coded.

If you change the transponder into the new key, then yes the car should still start. You may have to resync it tho.

V reg is non-plexed
