New Stereo - Dash Center Display Freezes

Hello,

I purchased the Pioneer MVH-8200BT and installed it in my 06 reg peugeot 206. I also installed the adapter to allow the steering wheel remote to function.

After installing this the little LCD display which shows the time is now not functioning correctly. The time does not update and the scrolling message stating which door is open will stick on the screen in which ever position it scrolled to. If I turn the ignition off and on again the screen is reset, showing the updated time but again does not carry on updating.

Has anyone got a solution?!

Thanks,

When mine froze the clock next to the hazard button (btw I haven't got remote stalk connected)

I was told to do a BSI reboot, multi plex cars have a on board computer that remembers settings (how you drive etc). It still thinks you have the standard head unit still connected and is trying to speak to it, causing the clock to freeze.

Well I did the BSI reboot and that cured my freezing of the clock, maybe you could try it?

Thanks for the reply!

I did a quick google on the BSI reboot. How do I disconnect the diagnostic tool?

Thanks,

This is only if you've got diagnostic equipement, it means remove it before starting the procedure. Since I doubt you have I think it's safe to say you can just ignore this part.

its because the standard pug stereo is linked into the display with the clock. lee knows a lot about this but im pretty sure you have to tell the bsi that the stereo isnt there anymore
