my 03 plate 206 sounds as if one of the front wheel bearings is going, are these pressed on?

so in other words, is it a garage job?

they are pressed on mate but if u can get your old one out u can freeze your new bearing n it will go in bit more time consuming but will save money(old school trick from my dads mechanic days)

If you get the hub off, a garage should be able to press the old out and new in for a tenner.

Remember some places charge 1hr minimum, so back street garages maybe a better option.

When you say freeze is that actually in the freezer? I can see how it'll work.

Yeah it works as the metal casing contracts as its cold so is very slightly smaller.

maybe the old one could be taken out a little easier by using that computer keyboard spray but upside down so liquid comes out?
