Check the legality of having 100w bulbs. Most are just for off road use. I think the max bulb strength is 55w for both main and dipped beam.

That would do for the short term, but you will need to buy some new headlights at the end of the year to be road legal.

55w isnt plenty though in angel eyes, they low on out put. Ive got £40 worrth of phillips bulbs in em at the min and its alright but I want the wow factor that I had with the 100w in my old car.
They are illegal but because they are white and not green or blue etc. i never got pulled over and my mums had them in her van for 3 years, so thats three mot's passed and she recomends them lol

Simple. Put the old bulbs back in and remove the ballasts.

Why would you be worried about it melting if you had them in your old car? and your mum had them for 3 years?

I doubt that will ever come into play, probaly another scare tactic tbh
Im looking forward to all the threads moaning about the new tougher mot test next year
Not being funny but HIDs are stupidly easy to take off just before the MOT, just put them back on after.
People have been doing it with the Catalyst for years.
#17: Re: Angel Eyes and Bulbs Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 9:46 am ---- w**ky retro fit illegal HID's are annoying, I just blind the t**ts back with my full beam

#18: Re: Angel Eyes and Bulbs Author: ma.langan, Location: Leyland, LancashirePosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 11:47 am ---- HID's in angels wouldent dassle other folk tho, they have such a clean line beamed out that theyre only bright when you're directly inline with them.
