Hello Smile

I bought sone angel eyes off of another forum user, I have asked him but he didn't know, so I thought I'd ask here =)

I have a 1999 5dr 2.0d HDI GLX with frosted headlights, I just need to know if these will go straight in, or do I need something else.

Heres some pics if you need them

They have blue bulbs in at the moment...they are illegal...rights?

Also are they h4 or h7?

Thanks for any information you can throw at me.

You need to put a connector on the wires or cut your car wires and wire these in,

As you have frosted lights you can fit male h4 plug to lights and they will plug in to car, I have some if u need any. Or put blade connectors on the wires and push them into the connector.

If u Want to know what wires to connect to what wire I helped somone other day with same thing so have a diagram somewere

Off the top of my head...

Working from left to right
Red = positive on halos [needs connecting to sidlights]
Black = earth
Red = dipped beam
Black = earth
Blue = main beam

They will have H1 bulbs but they aren't any connector atm

Top pin on the H4 connector on your car is for main beam i think, and the one on the bottom that isn't your earth is the dipped beam [might have got them the wrong way around, been a while since i looked]

You'll also need a relay or a stalk to make the dipped beam stay on when the main beam is active. I supply the stalks on a part-ex basis, click my sig for details.

Either way, not an easy install for a novice, I gather.

Also one says h4 and another h1...

Anyone live near Hertfordshire want to do it for reasonable payment =D

I'd do it but it would be a 300 mile round trip so it wouldn't be cheap Laughing

They are easy enough to install tho.

Just wire the wires into the correct pin on the car loom side, then if you want the dipped beam to stay on with the main beam you need to fit a relay or changed the stalk [quicker and no extra wiring].

Update.

I fitted the lights today, with a lot of help from Ben, I've just been out to "double check" because it's now dark, and this happend.

Sidelight A stays on with Dipped and Full beams.
Sidelight B Comes on when I put the sidelights on, but then goes off when changed to Dipped or full...which one has a fault, any ideas.

Cheers.
