#1: 3rd gear jumping out Author: lee007, Location: leicesterPosted: Tue Mar 15, 2011 4:42 pm ---- Hello to all first time on the site and what a great site. I have a 2001 GTi which has a habbit of dropping out of 3rd gear. Happens mainly on tight bends or round a bouts. Though it can happen under deceleration.
Any ideas please

#3: Re: 3rd gear jumping out Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Tue Mar 15, 2011 6:25 pm ---- could be worn linkages/gearbox mount or more seriously a stuffed syncromesh in the box.
