yer £200ish, looks worse than it is i think, needs body work but i was planning on what ever car i brought anyway so not a problem,

car came with all the fittings and fixings missing in pics too, and new brakes (only half been fitted)

just a few minor things to fix to be road legal too but not that bad,

well the smooth door locks, smoothed aerial will have filler around them so paint will be naff round them i would think, dunno,

i dunno the white comes off so easy with the thinner on, no effort once it gets going. then i just wash it down to get all the residue off.

next door has some in his garage so we tried it.

wow! rear arches being rolled up isnt a problem ben. need to check whats under the filler considering how shoddy the paint has been put on.... the china blue is looking good tho..... careful using thinners on the plastics as it can melt them.

true door locks have just filler in them, and boot has expanding foam.

boots a fibreglass panel then...... expanding foam to fill the void is ok. door locks idealy want welding up. ariel hole wants welding up. perfect world the boot wants welding smooth aswell.... all can be done using fibreglass and filler, but just filler is a no no.

ben mate you not thought of just using a sander to blitz the white of if your gonna get it resprayed at some point?

i bet somethin like a 500 grit would be perfect to take the white off without going deep into the China lacquer?

Well all I'm doing ATM the min is lay a cloth on car and pour thinner on cloth (holds it self to side of car etc)

Leave it 5mins, take off cloth and it's all bubbled up.

Then just remove it with credit card type card.

So very easy ATM requires no effort Laughing the tough bits I will sand.

+ this methord there is not White dust flying everwere all over next doors car lol

got brakes sorted so its safe to move around (as it had none at all) the rear was bad, the hub nut was cross threaded grrrr (32mm btw Wink ) and also couldnt get the hub off to save my life so just hit the stub axle out to get hub off,

bearing also naff on that side but planning on disc conversion anyway. (bloke had done other sides brakes) main thing is now it dont roll off drive or i have to use the reverse and 1st to brake when moving it around Laughing

also removed a bit more paint Very Happy

the fails are in this thread ..... 206info.co.uk/Forums/v...27497.html

as for the rear fog, i dunno yet, if i keep the rear lights (thinking of smoothing them in or somthing similar) i will just change one of the reverse lights into a fog bulb and rewire them. (fog on the correct side of course )

still getting ideas atm, have a basic idea what im doing, working on removin that naff white see whats under it, and getting underneath close to road legal.

Should look nice when it's done, but I hate that exhaust placement, I hope the saxo one is a lot smaller. The exhaust you've got on at the moment is just waiting for a speedbump to come along and put a huge dent in the backbox

The exhaust is purly there ATM to stop noise while moving car around drive etc. it's not on brackets it's just hanging there lol. will be fitting a standard saxo exhaust as its shorter so will be hidden under car and not be seen.

Thanks, yer I thought that but tried them on one and made no difference tbh, only gap was but smaller if you held them in place without clips. But clips were still miles out. Yet I wanted something a bit different, thats just me you see...... Different Laughing lol

Probably not as standard as im sure the sizes of the optics are different.

You could probably make the middle optic slot bigger to hold the high beam though then fiberglass the outer optic holder to make it smaller or something? I see it being very difficult if not impossible!

Oh and good stuff Ben, seems like yesterday I remember it being on ebay and white! Nice to see progress! Smile

I've got a drivers door window and a couple of door hinges if you ever need them. Just took them off the girlfriends car after she apparently "scratched" the car on a bollard but actually dented the whole side of her car. Picked up a whole drivers door for £30 from a scrappy in wellingborough. Came with everything except the door card and mirror.

well as you can see the colour in that pic above and as alot of you are on my instagram (were my colour pics are stored) here is a full colour from yesterday, it is a version of ford purple velvet just tiny bit lighter as didnt want it as dark as that.....

wing looks dark in pic for some reason but bumper is spot on how it looks in flesh......

one side 1/4 pannel and rear just before lacquer....

just waiting for weather to brighten up to do more... and might have new job soon (finger crossed) so more money again Very Happy cant wait.
