My exhaust tip is getting a bit rusty so i want to replace the backbox and tip..

Should i buy standard or is there a nice sensible upgrade?

Reletively cheap?
Sounds nice?
Looks Good... Not OTT?

usually the odd few knocking about on ebay mate, if you go to powerflow or something and get them to replace the backbox with a straight pipe for about £50 it sounds pretty good for a diesel!

try driving up and down your road without a backbox and youll see what i mean Smile

Yea true.

Most people would just say dont bother on a diesel.. But i want something with a little bit of sound. Not wake your neighbours up when leaving for work... Also something that looks nice like an oval..

id recommend a straight pipe from powerlow and choose the tip then Smile wont be very expensive at all, if youre planning on decatting it in future though put the backbox back on when you do that otherwise itll just be a straight pipe all the way down and it sounds worse than ever!

but if its just sound youre after the pipe instead of a backbox will work a treat!

I got a replica GTi180 system for £420 from the manifold back

well they do a decat for about £40-50 depending on the branch and its essentially the same sort of thing but with one of their custom tips on the end. i reckon £50-60? which is better than a £180 backbox.

ring your nearest up and see what they say, or drop in. as its custom work and each branch quotes differently its hard to say.

normally i wouldnt recommend powerflow but on a simple bit of pipe they will do just fine and they are averagely cheap as well!

Nooooo..
DO get a back box. Especially if you don't wanna make your neighbours. Go to a local independant exhaust specialist and get them to make you an exhaust system up, with a decat. You normally get to choose your own tip as well. Smile

Mine cost £200 but could have got it cheaper had I not had to rush.

Oh, and mines S/S as well. Smile
