#2: Re: GTI Coolant pipe Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 1:52 pm ---- You just need to remove the thermostat housing (and the battery and its box) and then pop the pipe out of the back of the water pump. It's a tight fit but be careful not to twist it so make sure the pipe is pulled out straight of both pump housing and thermostat housing.
Don't forget to buy three new rubber O ring seals.

Yeah it runs along the block under the exhaust manifold, Between the water pump housing and the thermostat housing.

weird. only reason i didnt recognise it is because i havent even bothered with the lump as yet! lol
