I have noticed that when I park up and turn the engine off and remove the key the engine is still running. It doesn't happen everytime but when it does happen it the engine continues to run for a few seconds and then switches off. What is this - is it going to lead to a bigger problem. Many thanks for your advice N

Thanks for your replies - my car is indeed a 1.4 GLX. You mentioned a light bulb? I did have a rear light out a couple of weeks ago and the bulb was replaced - could the engine running fault be down to that then? Also I have noticed when I drive in the dark my tail light is permenantly on too.....

Thats old school Vauxhall.

There is a similar one for the first generation Vectra but I aint posting it up on a public forum Laughing

Reminds me of the first generation Peugeot / Citroen alarm & immobiliser system, that was so easy to bypass in seconds Laughing

Does this mean we can all go and hotwire a 206?
