I know tht i need to change the top mount bearings and droplinks, what i am wondering though is do you need and special tools ro change the top mount bearings and how easy is it to do. Cheers

saves faces well not in the case of my mate when clamp slipped off and spring broke his nose lol

Of course you'll need spring compresses unless you are Mr muscle man
And yes the entire strut needs to come out of the car and onto the floor

yes take it out all the way so you can make sure the bearings in right when putting back together,
