in that case i think we owe it to you to make the trip the other way
although i was not there at FCS '10 to see you i still wanna do this would love to drive the autobahn for starters aswell as see the sights in germany

Somewhere in Germany's fine, still a bit of way but what the hell.. I like roadtrips
And yeah, autobahn could be good fun.. See how much difference in speed there is IRL, between the different models
Only thing with the unlimited sections on the autobahn, is that you need to watch your mirrors..
find out why by clicking here hehe: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADEMiW6tuQM

And obviously i would be careful on there and that
Im already looking forward to this now just make sure its gonna be when i have leave from work as i start training next year to go to afghan later in the year so would like to do this before i go
#20: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Deany, Location: Durham - CrookPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 6:43 am ---- This is now sounding like a proper meet haha. Only thing is what figure are we calculating for cost?
#21: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 7:02 am ---- im in guys!
we need to set start and end destinations.
from there we can all work out individual fuel costs. and time scale of the drive. once we done that we can see who wants to stop where n plot it on the route, then its a case for voting to see where are the stop markers going to be finding accomodation budget for food.
after that we can check dates n then before you know it we are off!
looking forward to it though!
Deany edit the first post with a list of names for attending mate
#22: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 7:16 am ---- Don't get your hopes up with the autobahns guys. They're normally to busy to get flat out, last year I didn't get much above 120mph due to traffic The route we took meant they were only short ones too.
#23: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 7:22 am ---- yeah when me old man goes over he can only touch 120 maybe 140 at a push but its not for long either
#24: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 7:26 am ---- I'm hoping the traffic isn't as bad this year so I can get past 160mph I know the car will go off the clocks but there's limited areas to try that in the UK.
#25: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 7:36 am ---- yeah tell me about the golf has got to 140mph in the uk. but would be awesome to see its real top speed.
#26: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 8:09 am ---- My current top is 157mph which is near as dammit but would like GPS confirmation too as the speedo reading that would be closer to 135/140 at a guess.
#27: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Deany, Location: Durham - CrookPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 9:35 am ---- Yeah ill edit the names when I go on the computer tonight.
Blackberry isn't too good for internet although I think a purchase of the new htc is a good plan.
Anyway, germany, yeah we need to plan routes etc
#28: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 9:38 am ---- where we thinking for a end destination? the ring?
#29: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 9:39 am ---- Just make sure you end up in Nurbug, and not Nuremburg. People seem to confuse the two.
#30: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 9:42 am ---- sounds like a bad american film lol
