LOL Nurbug....where the hells that?
The last one i planned i sat for about 4 hours with AA route planner working out the maximum distance you would want to cover in a day (this will get less the more days your on the road) then pick a town/city near that max distance and look for cheap hotels.
Plan it in a nice loop so you don't get bored on the way back and everyone is happy.
As far as i'm concerned the best route to the 'ring and back is Dover - callais and up to the ring, then Amsterdam for a night before getting the ferry back to hull. Works out well for the northerners and southerners alike. (obviously there will need to be stop overs inbetween)
As for the fuel i'm sure there is a fuel calculator on there as well. If not it's not hard to take total milage and a guesstimated average MPG (much lower than it is currently).

#34: Re: Germany Cruise Author: D4NTP, Location: Not Leeds or its surrounding areas!Posted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 10:28 am ---- About 1.60 (euro) a litre for 95 octane. So not really. Could be a cheapskate and run 91.
#35: Re: Germany Cruise Author: drunknmunky, Location: Blackburn and CatterickPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 11:13 am ---- thats s**t i wanted cheap fuel
but still wanna go
#36: Re: Germany Cruise Author: D4NTP, Location: Not Leeds or its surrounding areas!Posted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 11:19 am ---- I doubt you want a road trip to Turkmenistan......but they are the cheapest for fuel, 2p a litre.

Where's Turkmenistan? Nurbug is the secret part of Nurburg you'd know if you've been haha. Did you find Nuremburg? like I said, don't get that and the 'Ring mixed up!
#38: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Cr4zYb0y, Location: SalisburyPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 1:01 pm ---- Ill do this if i have a Diesel..

Might be about the same regarding price, but i've read that somewhere that UK-sold fuel is some of the lowest quality in Europe. Even some petrol-stations premium fuel, like Shells V-Power, is "worse" than standard Danish 95-octane.
So in theory, engine should run with a bhp or two higher lol

Nürburg is where the Nürburgring (aka "The Ring", "The Green Hell" etc.) is located. About 25-30 miles east of the Belgium border, into Germany.
Nüremberg is about 200 miles east of The Ring.

at that price damn right i want a road trip to turkmenistan
directions anyone?
#41: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 1:29 pm ---- I don't mind looking into routes if u guys want?how long we thinkin the trip will b? 3 days? 4?
#42: Re: Germany Cruise Author: drunknmunky, Location: Blackburn and CatterickPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 1:31 pm ---- id like to think 4 days over a weekend kind of thing long weekend set off early doors on a friday and hopefully get back by late monday
thats my opinion anyway
#43: Re: Germany Cruise Author: Deany, Location: Durham - CrookPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 1:48 pm ---- That sounds a plan. So when we have the route planned are we expecting a figure of money then?
#44: Re: Germany Cruise Author: D4NTP, Location: Not Leeds or its surrounding areas!Posted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 2:39 pm ---- Before you go getting all excited check the ferry crossing prices. This trip would need booking well in advance to get anywhere near the kind of budget some of you guys seem to be hoping for. I don't want to be Mr pessimistic but it would be a shame if some people got their hopes up then had to bail out due to price. Personally i wouldn't tackle this with less than £2000 available. You never know whats going to happen, but a car breakdown is very likely! (no offence if your 206 is your only car)
Just a couple of points to clear up as well.....
Turkmenistan is just above Iran and Afganistan....not exactly a club 18-30's resort....
And Shaker...it says Nurbug.....not Nurburg.....hence the query....bloody Dutch..
#45: Re: Germany Cruise Author: drunknmunky, Location: Blackburn and CatterickPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 2:47 pm ---- I dont think anyone had prices in mind yet and as pointed out earlier in the thread it wont be until next year, plenty of time to save
My 206 is my only car but wont breakdown shes treated well and i may have another car by then so might be tempted to take that
Ohhh and Turkmenistan shall be a road trip for me, myself and i as no one else is offering to come? I am pretty sure it could be turned into club 18-30 if we wanted to its not about the party its about the people at the party and if its anything like afghan it should be a nice place just gotta watch out for the bullets like i did when i was there
