#1: Bonding very soft rubber to metal and plastic? Author: Rob2859, Location: HalifaxPosted: Mon Apr 11, 2011 5:36 am ---- How can I do this? Its a soft rubber strip almost foam like. Too soft for self tappers. Need to be weatherproof and removeable without damage to paint.
Is there a particular type of double sided that could be used?

What is the sticky stuff they use for vinyl wrap and stripes? something like that in a double sided form maybe. I don't think a glue will do it without destroying the paint.

#7: Re: Bonding very soft rubber to metal and plastic? Author: Rob2859, Location: HalifaxPosted: Mon Apr 11, 2011 9:15 am ---- I can see that being hard to remove. Wont it take the laquer off too?
#8: Re: Bonding very soft rubber to metal and plastic? Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Mon Apr 11, 2011 9:19 am ---- generally lacquer is fine with adhesive if its not fresh. putting it on old lacquer should be ok and its easy to get off with a heat gun/ hairdryer and a bit of AG intesive tar remover.
use it in the training school my dad works at. ( they teach panel beating and spraying )
