you will need to skim the head before putting on the new gasket...

i always wonder if a high flow cylinder head would makes any difference on a turbo diesel

if my heaf failed i would probably get one ordered lol

no idea, that is the first time i have heard about a blown gasket on a 206 HDi

I've just repalced the thermostat, took it for a run and checked it, still boiled over, but... the bottom 2/3 of the rad is cold and i'm starting to suspect it's rotting inside out at the bottom after noticing some crumbly fins above the bottom outlet, hopefully this hasn't done the head!

If the rad isn't blocked then the water pump may have failed and not be circulating but i'll be replacing it along with the cambelt in the following weeks anyway!!

i presume is blockage rather than a fail pump.

blockage cause overpressure. fail pump don't.
