#1: New tyres worn totally donw on outer edges in 3 months!? Author: clarky78, Location: NottinghamshirePosted: Sat Apr 16, 2011 9:21 am ---- Had 4 new tyres fitted about 3 months ago or so, and the outer tread is totally worn down alreadyon the fronts, the inner side is as new! The old tyres that were replaced weren't like it so whats up? Been meaning to get a wheel alignment since i bought the tyres, but now I AM getting one!

As long as the steering wheel is true straight when the trackings done, it should be ok. My car had a constant ESP error message because my steering wheel was off when the wheels were straight.

Haynes did actually put that in the original Peugeot 405 workshop manual in the tyre wear section
Then again the 405 had the chassis to achieve it

Thinking of swapping front to back tyres as the real wheels have large amounts of negative camber and the outer edges should'not wear anymore. As long as they are still legal!

Mine was the tracking when it did this.
