Cheers Bri, I have a feeling it's not going to be an easy ride, ie pedal boxes etc...

Calm down Ross I've bought the same wheels, I toyed with the idea of Turinis or a set of comps but I love the Pro Race too much!

Lol, yeah Turini's would have been nice, although they are pricey.

I haven't ordered the ECU yet, just the bodies/manifold/linkages, but even that was the best part of £1k, so I'm easing into it. Still got cams to get yet Sad

Very nice project. I like the Nurburgring sticker. Not many people on the road know what it means but those of us who do, envy you a bit Cool

I got a question though. How come you bought a 180 to have it fitted with ITB's? I'm asking this because I don't really know about any 180 with them. Even Longman said its better to take the EW10J4 as the base instead of EW10J4S. Anyway I've still got lots of questions but I'll write you a PM Wink

BTW best of luck with the car Wink

Yeah but I wanted a GTi180 before I wanted TB's...
Either way, I could sell the bodies if it is too much fuss, there's no shortage of people who want them!
As long as you get management that can cope with VVT it should be fine Wink

how are you planning on fitting that oil cooler jamie? isn't the 180 a canister filter...?

Jamie, when are you going to install the oil cooler. I'm asking because I was thinking of buying it myself as i like to blast it every here and there and when you're doing 200 for a while, it tends to heat up the oil quite quickly. But a friend had one installed on his 1.6 ITB powered 205 and discovered a little problem in the winter, the car just couldn't heat up (oil temperature never got to 90 degrees on the highway) :S

So if you still have as much snow as you did a month ago, that would be a real test for this problem Very Happy

Which is why I bought a special thermostat fitted into the sandwich plate that only lets the oil through when the temperature of the oil reaches 80 degrees centigrade!

I can hook you up with the same kit if you want?
