I have a cheap set of pads fitted and they have a fibre anti squeal pad, Alternatively get busy with some copper grease on the rear of the pads... it helps

#499: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Legoless, Location: SloveniaPosted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 11:11 am ---- Which pads Jamie?
#500: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 11:36 am ---- Carbon Lorraine RC5+
#501: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Seb, Location: Under your bedPosted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 12:05 pm ---- The spongy feel and longer travel is characteristic of upgrading to multipiston brakes.
#502: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 12:41 pm ---- My wife loves the spongy feel and longer travel.....
#503: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 1:07 pm ---- Seb what can be done to cure this? Bigger master cylinder?
Braided hoses?
#504: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Legoless, Location: SloveniaPosted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 1:08 pm ---- Braided hoses wont cure this, but bigger master cylinder will. I am still collecting information which would fit. Will let you know
#505: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 1:12 pm ---- Can't use the 406 one due to the mtiplexed sensor on the GTi180 master cylinder. I'm thinking 407?
#506: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Legoless, Location: SloveniaPosted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 1:13 pm ---- 406 V6 one wont even fit as far as I know, its turned otherwise as in the 206 and there is no place for it. I am thinking 307.
#507: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 1:32 pm ---- You can buy a valve that holds the pistons on the disc. Not enough to cause drag but they stop the excess travel on the pedal
#508: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 2:18 pm ---- Mac is that the right valve for the job? Where does it go?
#509: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 2:34 pm ---- It goes inline before the caliper. You need two
#510: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Mon Jun 07, 2010 3:00 pm ---- Yeah I got that bit, but does it matter where it goes? Like in terms of distance?
Is that the right valve?
