I am yes, verging on serious, just cost depending. I wouldn't want anything outrageous, but its just so gutless compared to my old gti (which wasn't stonkingly quick!). The pick up on this is around 4k revs, then you run out by 6k! And first gear may as well not be there.

I've been shopping around lots of sites, and been on the KA forums (go me), and I can't find any natural upgrade to the duratec engine. Either the old 1.3 Edura E KA's have had an engine transplant (turbo'd, puma racing engine) or the 1.6's haven't been touched. Quite frustrating, I'd at least like to see what can be done!

Thanks Mac. No rush, like I said, but it would be interesting to know. I assume I'd need more bits on top of that too. Is that a cost price, or fitting included?!

Sorry Jamie for jacking your thread.

Depends what you want, it's your car... Ie there's always cams, valves, pistons depending how far you wanna take it.
As a basis you'll need a manifold, bodies, loom, fuel rail, trumpets, ecu, throttle pot and linkage kit.
