#8: Re: 180 problems Author: Andy180, Location: Stoke on TrentPosted: Mon Apr 18, 2011 3:46 pm ---- wheres the oil leak coming from? if its from the oil filter it could be the oil filter housing a common fault on 180's iirc, only one id pay to have fixed is the 1st gear judder as it sounds like this flywheel problem most 180s suffer with the rest of the jobs you could easily do yourself.
#9: Re: 180 problems Author: Icetto, Location: Cape TownPosted: Tue Apr 19, 2011 12:34 am ---- Is the judder only noticeable when your car is still cold?
Mine does that between 2000rpm and 3000rpm when the car is still cold. If it's warmed up then it drives smoothly.
Take it back to the garage.....unless it was a private sale.
its not from Mansfield is it??

Did notice that the horn is quite low, behind front valence, so could possibly got gunked up with road surface debris, will try to hold down also. Out of interest is the 12v dc fed direct from battery and the cct made on the 0v side by the steering wheel contact?

Yes that's were I saw the oil dripping from when I had a look yesterday. Where best place to buy the housing if that is the case?
The main dealers seem to be praised hell of a lot on here whereas on all my other cars Nissan, SEAT, FIAT, Subaru and Toyota the dealers were useless. Time will tell I guess as the car may need to go in for the flywheel/clutch replacement
