How did you tell that the resistor was faulty? Do you know what the resistance values should be? Ive just repaired the lower relay wiring, and cleaned up all connections ready to test again. So if mine doesnt work after all this then there's a problem on the sensor side of things rather than the wiring.

are both relays the same rich? for low+high speed?

On mine i found that peugeot supply the same relay for both the upper and lower relays, so in terms of ratings there the same. But for the lower relay it only uses 4 out of 5 pins. So if you can find a 4 pin relay with the same ratings it should work.

resistor is rated @ 0.8 ohm if you have air con switch it on after about 20 secomds the low speed fan should come on if you remove the resistor you should have continuity between all 3 pins

so let me get this right,
unplug the resistor , switch aircon on , and fan should kick in after 20 seconds if its the resistor at fault ?

sorry mate for the late reply .With The resistor still connected and the air con switched on the LOW SPEED FAN should cut in .If not the resistor should be removed from the car to test it ,If you look through the lower grill on the drivers side you can see the resistor and by removing the two 10mm bolts holding the lower bumper you can just get your hand in to get at the plug hope this helps

what happens if the low fan doesnt come on even when AC button clicked. would that be the relay?

apparently yes, usually becouse of rotten wires running into the relay block .
however ive bypassed the block by connecting the clean wires directly to the relay but its still not kicking in the fan.
.. if i manually bridge the relay, the fan will kick in ... go figure Confused

check the resistor as for perry;s post wiring to relay is terminal 30 12v from battery
terminal 87 to fan motor
terminal 85 ground terminal 86 from coolant sensor vis air con ecu
in all cases check the fan wiring first and using terminal layout above check relays which leaves coolant temp sensor which if you guage reads correctly will point to the low speed fan resistor

I too have a problem with a non-operating fan.
Can anyone tell me how to access the 'Service Box' that was previously mentioned?
Cheers Smile
