a guy in peugeot said that they dont usually go..i think it happened atfer i was doing abit of drag racing..
has it happened to anyone else?,im away on holidays at the moment and its wrecking my head ..

#2: Re: crankshaft oil seal Author: nino, Location: ashford middxPosted: Tue May 24, 2011 2:20 pm ---- mine went on my 51 plate gti with 93k on the clock, i filled it up and did about 380 miles and it was inbetween half and full on the dipstick so wasnt leaking a lot just leaving a puddle to think this isnt good
i got the job done and found the seal to be a bit hard
im no expert and not had much dealings with petrol engines but a few cars ive serviced the oil seems to spell burnt like they havnt been done for a wile ?? maybe old oil does this if its not been serviced regular, like i said im no expert
i oil change my cars every 3000 miles (hard used 4x4) 6000 miles (main car) so the oil is never old plus i dont pay for oil and halfords filters with a trade card are pennies lol
