#17: Re: 206 SW 1.4 Engine Cutting Out Author: finners, Location: West YorkshirePosted: Sat May 14, 2011 6:50 am ---- Well I have replaced the spark plugs and taken a few pics of the coil pack and plugs.
It does appear to be a Sagem coil pack so I am assuming I should replace this?

Match the colour of the connector plug up on your car, it will be either grey or black, they aint interchangeable!
There is also a wiring mod to look for.
There is a supressor fitted to pin 4 of the coil pack connector plug.
Peugeot / Citroen part number 6555 K9
I am scouring eBay for one of these coil packs but to no avail. Can anyone help me out please?
this is a pic of my engine and just to confirm is this the suppressor mod you were talking about?
#20: Re: 206 SW 1.4 Engine Cutting Out Author: finners, Location: West YorkshirePosted: Sun May 15, 2011 2:59 am ---- I've ordered a new Coil Pack and I only paid £30.00 including postage. Its a Valeo one with the grey plug and the part numbers on it seem to match the ones on the Sagem so we'll see if it does the job.
I'll report back once its fitted.

#22: Re: 206 SW 1.4 Engine Cutting Out Author: finners, Location: West YorkshirePosted: Sun May 15, 2011 12:03 pm ---- I found this after doing a google for the part number you mentioned which looks very similar to the part I have pointed to in the picture.
However it does say radio interference suppressor.

#24: Re: 206 SW 1.4 Engine Cutting Out Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun May 15, 2011 12:10 pm ---- Someone got ripped of on Ebay, there only £5.29 brand new from any Peugeot / Citroen main dealer
#25: Re: 206 SW 1.4 Engine Cutting Out Author: finners, Location: West YorkshirePosted: Tue May 17, 2011 9:24 am ---- New coil pack fitted and the car feels a lot better. Will test it for a few days and see how it goes.
#26: Re: 206 SW 1.4 Engine Cutting Out Author: finners, Location: West YorkshirePosted: Sun May 29, 2011 9:37 am ---- Well the car conked out again today
All in all I have changed the following: -
1. Idle Control Valve
2. Spark plugs (changed to Bosch Super 4)
3. New coil pack
Anyone have any other advice as to what I can check next?
Is it worth looking at some of the sensors?
Is it possibly the ECU?

Give the engine ecu connectors a good clean with electrical contact cleaner incase there's any nasty silicone grease residue there.

Any idea how much its costs to get these updates?
& when you say the engine ECU connectors are these the ones that you are talking about?

Shut the BSI down safely before touching those connectors.
Software updates - you need to ask the dealer, might be half hour labour or might be an hour labour.
