#1: The Car Author: jcowan, Location: Leslie, fifePosted: Tue May 10, 2011 4:23 pm ---- Got a few more, will get them up as soon as, what you think?
i was contemplating body coloured bumpers and perhaps a nice set of lights, seen a lovely pair on another 206 today in Glenrothes.
To the side you can see my previous car. a month after i had it on the road (my first car) the head gasket went, known the problem was there for a while as its been in the family. fortunately it was fixable.

#2: Re: The Car Author: Jordan_xsi, Location: IpswichPosted: Tue May 10, 2011 4:28 pm ---- Nice tidy base youve got there, unlucky with the infamous Rover head gasket though my old 214 fortunatly had only just had it fixed when i bought it.
#3: Re: The Car Author: michaelbishop, Location: IrelandPosted: Tue May 10, 2011 4:30 pm ---- colour coding is always a good way to go, The crystal headlights you have are great looking
#4: Re: The Car Author: jcowan, Location: Leslie, fifePosted: Tue May 10, 2011 5:05 pm ---- It's an Lx model, what that means different from others i dont know, perhaps you could enlighten me?
Cheers boys.
#5: Re: The Car Author: michaelbishop, Location: IrelandPosted: Tue May 10, 2011 5:15 pm ---- LX is the particular model of the 206 in the range.
#6: Re: The Car Author: jcowan, Location: Leslie, fifePosted: Tue May 10, 2011 5:18 pm ---- Ah yes, sorry what i meant was what is included with the LX that is not on other models, or which models have different gizmos and such in comparison.
Cheers
#7: Re: The Car Author: michaelbishop, Location: IrelandPosted: Tue May 10, 2011 5:52 pm ---- I'm not sure, I've an LX too, anyone else I knew with a 206 had an LX also so I've nothing to compare it too. Someone on here is bound to know.
#8: Re: The Car Author: Whirly, Location: SheffieldPosted: Tue May 10, 2011 6:29 pm ---- I have an LX as well, strange thing is i have body coloured bumpers, but no front fogs, maybe the previous owner sprayed them who knows.

My front fogs were on it but that's the only extra I have. My rear view mirrors are manual, my back seat windows are manual, no air con, standard black bumpers. All this makes me think the LX is bottom of the range. In saying that my lights come on automatically when it's dark and my wipers turn on and speed up depending on the rain so I'm not really sure?
#10: Re: The Car Author: jcowan, Location: Leslie, fifePosted: Tue May 10, 2011 6:50 pm ---- My Mirrors are electric, auto wipers and lights, manual rear windows (keep fit windows i like to say). Air con there. I just dont know haha.

The guys on the assembly line must have just put whatever letters they felt like at the time on the wheel arch!
#12: Re: The Car Author: jcowan, Location: Leslie, fifePosted: Tue May 10, 2011 7:04 pm ---- Haha, just whatever came first to hand out a big cardboard box.
#13: Re: The Car Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Wed May 11, 2011 12:14 am ---- I have an lx to...no auto lights or wipers...black bumpers....electric wing mirrors...airon (which doesn't work)
#14: Re: The Car Author: ukskater01, Location: sutton surrey/welwyn garden cityPosted: Wed May 11, 2011 1:13 am ---- My lx has electric mirrors, electric front windows, manual rear windows, no air con and I got my strips cc'd when I got it resprayed
#15: Re: The Car Author: Seb, Location: Under your bedPosted: Wed May 11, 2011 1:24 am ---- I used to have an LX. It's proceeded by the GLX and so on. It's not the bottom though. I think the S is the bottom, then the L.
#16: Re: The Car Author: MrrNoName, Location: UKPosted: Wed May 11, 2011 2:25 am ---- my LX doesnt have auto wipers but does have elec mirrors, elec front windows and aircon (which also doesnt work), just to confuse things haha
#17: Re: The Car Author: michaelbishop, Location: IrelandPosted: Wed May 11, 2011 3:49 am ---- Can anyone shed any light on the model range and where each model fits into the range? I've tried a google search with no joy
#18: Re: The Car Author: jcowan, Location: Leslie, fifePosted: Wed May 11, 2011 10:40 am ---- Or even just say what model they have and what features it has and doesnt have.

#20: Re: The Car Author: jcowan, Location: Leslie, fifePosted: Wed May 11, 2011 7:16 pm ---- Stuck another couple pics up, need to get one or two of the rear still though i'm afraid but itll be done.
#21: Re: The Car Author: JordGJ, Location: Leeds / West MidlandsPosted: Wed May 11, 2011 9:30 pm ---- The LX is not the bottom of the range.
Surely the reason all of your cars have random different features is because they were optional extras when people bought the cars new...

But my car is a style and didn't come with electric front windows? and im pretty sure there were no side air bags in the interior it came with
all very confusing!
#24: Re: The Car Author: michaelbishop, Location: IrelandPosted: Thu May 12, 2011 5:03 am ---- Great stuff Barking, that info is very handy!! This should be a sticky somewhere.
#25: Re: The Car Author: jcowan, Location: Leslie, fifePosted: Thu May 12, 2011 5:39 am ---- Good info there, great way aswell to give you things you thought about adding to your car, some anyways.
Speaking of adding, i was wanting to repace my existing steelies which are 14 inch, with something a bit more attractive. Anybody got any pictures of their alloys? size, typ, colour and price details aswell, that would be stunning if anybody could post some. My 206 is silver so i fancied black set of wheels but my mate also mentioned anthracite grey being an excellent colour also. what you guys and girls thinking?
