I think that the windows that come with electric motor is diff. than the manual one,so the clip may not be fixed, unless he swap the windows as well.
#4: Re: window problem Author: jamie5706, Location: wolverhamptonPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 12:00 pm ---- i bought 4 doors from a non electric windowed 206, which is same colour as mine, but they came without any windows locks etc,
the windows are clipped in
#5: Re: window problem Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 12:00 pm ---- Nah windows are the same. I swapped my manual rears for electric. 2 white clips on the front, that go thru the two holes on the winodws
#6: Re: window problem Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 12:01 pm ---- So you've swapped the regulators over then yeah and plugged them in? drilled the rivets out and re-riveted?
#7: Re: window problem Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun May 15, 2011 12:01 pm ---- Sounds like something hasnt been put together correcty when the electric motors where fitted in.
#8: Re: window problem Author: jamie5706, Location: wolverhamptonPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 12:05 pm ---- is there anything ive done wrong regards the swapping over of the mechanisms, all i did was un screw the 3 screws ( which was a nightmare!!!) on the window winer and the face comes off, then do the same on the electric one and screwed it up, then plugged everything in, slid the window down onto the clips and tried the switch, which works fine but nothing happens, i must stress that this was working fine before
#9: Re: window problem Author: jamie5706, Location: wolverhamptonPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 12:09 pm ---- lee, whats the drilling out & re riveted ?
should have i done something else then, i just unscrewed the winder off the new door, then replaced it with the one i have with the electric motor on,

any info would be helpful please
#12: Re: window problem Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 1:19 pm ---- Dude its been 30 minutes, dont be so impatient when bumping.
You need to swap the regulators over which are riveted on.
#13: Re: window problem Author: jamie5706, Location: wolverhamptonPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 1:30 pm ---- oh sorry im not used to this to be honest. what are the regulators & where are they situated
n what do they do ?
thanks jay
#14: Re: window problem Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 1:33 pm ---- the things that the motors are fasterened too and move the windows up and down
#15: Re: window problem Author: jamie5706, Location: wolverhamptonPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 1:48 pm ---- is it the thing with the kind of cog inside then there are 2 thick wires that are spooled around it then they connect to the window runners? as i have removed the face of this which had 3 phillips screws on the back which are a nightmare to remove , then fitted that to the manual winder window mechanism once i removed it, or have i got to remove the whole runners with the 4 rivets in etc, which i take it will then leave the door completeley bare inside?
