If your adding deadlocking, you need to change the settings in the BSI too
I thought of this but decided against it due to cost for the time being.
However have replaced the rear two lock mechanisms with deadlocking ones for the following reason:
The child-lock mode (red control) makes it so that the inside handle is permanently disabled.
This means someone has to let the grotlings out by opening from the outside everytime.
However with a deadlock version of the same lock (5-pin) the inside handle is disabled when locked and will not unlock when pulled even if it is not deadlocked. Ofcourse, the locking-pin also has to be removed but on our vehicle there isn't one.

Going to look a moron now, but what's deadlocking?..
I wouldnt worry if you dont have it as the system fitted to the 206 is pretty simple to beat without damaging the door
Unless you're talking about a scanner (in which case all cars have a problem)
I can't easily see how you'll open the lock without damaging the door.
You can have a go at the key barell but that does not always work.
And it certainly provides additional protection from your average thiving git.
Scanner is useless on a UK spec 206 due to anti scan & rolling code built in to the remote locking system that is needed for Thatcham certification.
The lock barrel design is over 20+ years old & are p**s easy to pick.
As for the locking mechanism inside the door the shielding is poor & easily beaten.

#35: Re: Deadlocking? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun May 22, 2011 10:10 am ---- You can retrofit it if you want but you need the BSI tweaking to get it working.
Only the doors have deadlocks on, the boot doesnt.
