#2: Re: Need some advice Author: glenpring, Location: KENTPosted: Thu Jun 02, 2011 2:35 pm ---- I don't think it's chrome paint I think it's just the colour of the metal polished.
#3: Re: Need some advice Author: Matt, Posted: Thu Jun 02, 2011 2:35 pm ---- You don't need to get it off. Use a wire brush to mark it then use a decent primer and spray.
Tbh your better off selling it and buying the Zunsport ones as they are plastic coated and should resist stone chips better.
Just my opinion though
#4: Re: Need some advice Author: Lewis, Location: Isle Of WightPosted: Thu Jun 02, 2011 2:40 pm ---- if your spraying them black, might aswell sell the grills individually and use the Zunsport discount for the whole set of black brand new ones

Still sand them down or just spray
#7: Re: Need some advice Author: Matt, Posted: Thu Jun 02, 2011 2:57 pm ---- Sand em down or scuff with a wire brush.
#8: Re: Need some advice Author: crossie, Location: BirminghamPosted: Thu Jun 02, 2011 2:59 pm ---- What do you think is better
#9: Re: Need some advice Author: Matt, Posted: Thu Jun 02, 2011 3:00 pm ---- Either. Probs sanding.
It just helps the paint stick.
#10: Re: Need some advice Author: Jordan_xsi, Location: IpswichPosted: Thu Jun 02, 2011 3:26 pm ---- Go with sanding, thats what i done to my lower grille. I have to take it off and respray it every 6 months or so though as it gets chipped easy. My best advice would be to sell yours and buy Zunsport ones its far easier and i have the Zunsport bonnet vent and it looks better than the lower grille.
