I know engine conversations have been covered a million times and people say it's easier to just buy a gti but I've done to much to the car to just get rid of it. Anyway all I want to know is if that my 1.4 preplex loom will plug into a gti preplex engine?

Mr bsi or lee would be the people to speak to about this as they know there electrics but I think the ecu and bsi need to be changed, it would be best to try and buy a gti that's had a rear end smash. Then you could swap all the looms and suspension etc

You'd need the GTi engine loom but I imagine they'd plug in somewhere along the line.

if you can do the conversion urself then it is good.

make sure you got all the stuff.

engine, ecu, key chip, gearbox, driveshaft, hubs, engine loom, all engine mounts..etc

bascially all the stuff in the gti engine bay

From personal experience. Don't do it. There is very little point, too much money and/or time involved for such little gain. The GTi is still slow anyway.

Yeah but I'm still 18, going on 19 , my insurance company would pull my trousers down and not use any lube if I put a v6 in it!
