Hi, im replacing the clutch on my 1.6 206 (2000), Im a fairly competant mechanic and know what im doing most of the time lol but i cant work out how to disconnect the gear linkage from the gearbox.. There is a 16mm bolt on the linkage by the bulk head is this it?? ive managed to turn it a few turns but it wont budge any more.. i dont want to either shere it of or waste any more time on it if thats nothing to do with it..
any help much appreciated Smile

get a ball joint splitter ( www.performance-car-gu...litter.jpg ) or you can push a spanner under the ball joint and lift it to pop ball joint apart,

if you on about the bit i think you are lol

these are 206 gear links...... www.spoox.co.uk/catalo...20Rods.JPG / www.peugeotforums.com/...ink-ma.jpg

to remove them from gear box you have to pop them off the linkage,

i have removed a few gearbox's from my 206's last one was a 2000 plate 1.6 so should be the same.

there's no bolts holding the gear linkages on. Its just a ball joint with a rubber bit holding it. Even the upgraded metal pugsport ones are held in with just a pin, no nuts anywhere
